Runs

I’ve decided that in the future I will probably wonder what we ran during XC. Or on a boring summer day when I’m looking for a fun workout I can get some ideas. Or maybe just because I’m a nostalgic kind of person. Either way, I’m gonna log my runs.

9/29/08 – Powerpole Intervals at Rancho. 25 min of intervals. – http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2301995

9/30/08 – 50 Minute Run. Planned to go to “rock climbing” ended up taking a right at parker ranch and then back down. felt good throughout. – http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2304283

10/01/08 – Intervals at Saratoga Creek Park. Run there, strides, 3x3Big loops, take turns setting pace, everyone else does a fireman run.

10/02/08 – Blue Hills Loop Medium – Lynbrook to Blue Hills, Prospect, Blaney, Through side streets to Miller, Strides at Rainbow.

10/04/08 – Pepperdine Invite- 2nd place, 15:56. Hate the place, love the time.

10/06/08 – Fremont Older – Parking lot to top of T Hill, Down to Stevens Creek Canyon Park, To Dam, Back up hill. Very hard, but amazing.

10/07/08 – Intervals at Rainbow – Miller loop warm up. 1 loop, 2 loops, 1 loop with 1 min rest inbetween each. Finish off with 2 looper at all out.

Alright.. It’s been a while. I’m not very good at this, I seem to always forget to post up my runs, maybe I feel that if I don’t really elaborate about what they really felt like or some of the thoughts I had on the run that they are just meaningless little entries. I’ll start going more in-depth as of now and hopefully be able to keep this up.

5/7/09 – Dammit Run Loop (Shortened) – Basically, I saw the trail on the left and I thought that it would lead the same way as the one going to the right, but without all those damn bikers. So obviously we took it. Nice at first, some rolling hills. “Caution Dangerous Area” sign isn’t took welcoming. Switchback or climb a hill? Obviously climb a hill. Not very practical or safe, but fun, and that’s what matters. Shoes kept coming untied, I need to learn how to tie them better, or just get new shoes since I have holes in them and have no intention of “patching” them  up. The run was nice but not amazing. Just an easy run that I needed to keep a little bit of mileage up. Night run this weekend though, I’ll find that perfect run soon.

5/8/09 – Intervals at Lynbrook – 4×300 with the first 100 at around 13s, float the next 100 and then all out the last 100. Not too hard as we got plenty of rest, and Hank telling me that he really appreciated me waiting at the finish line after the 2 mile at leagues for everyone to finish and shake their hands made me feel really good and it made me push that last interval even harder

5/9/09 – Rest – Long week, less than a week till SCVALs, need to rest up my legs.

5/10/09 – Chamise Trail Loop at Rancho – Nice easy run, about 5 miles, nothing too strenuous. It was nice to have Gene and Varun along as they kept me in check. Legs did feel a bit tired though, so i’ll need to address that. Donut Wheel after, perfect post race treat =]

5/11/09 – Saratoga Railroad to Quito Run – Wow I need a better name for this run. Ran with Varun, legs still not feeling great but better than yesterday, nice and easy pace for the most part, pushed the dirt part near the railroad tracks and a nice final kick. It’s a nice run, but I really wish there were some hills or some scenery, I had forgotten the monotony of long runs on the road. - http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2813935

Summer.

Okay, so I realize that I haven’t been updating this as much as I should but now that summer has officially started, I will begin.

6/12/09 – Run from my house to Linda Vista park for Archit’s grad party. Ran with Varun, medium effort, legs still tired from the track season, need to take my 2/3 weeks off soon, but for now, I’m still hungry, just in pain =p - http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2916436

6/13/09 – XC Reunion Barbeque, I know this isn’t a real run but since I didn’t get one in, I’ll just count my sprint/run from Murdock to Lum’s and back as my run for the day. Add that onto an intense ultimate game and soccer tennis game, and I’ll say I did enough for that day. - http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2916449
